Fishing is one of the main tourist attraction of
the state of "Mato Grosso", having its great moment in September,
during the greatest river fishing tournament of the world. Its capital –
Cuiabá – offers a wide variety of handcraft for its visitants, besides being
a strategic gateway to the "Pantanal Norte" (North). The city is
famous for having held the well known Gold Rush and we can meet part of this
history in the "Casarão do Tesouro", a colonial old big house, which
used to keep all the government gold. |
