With its magnificent architectural work,
Brasília, the capital of the country, was built during the Juscelino
Kubitschek’s government. Designed by the urbanist Lúcio Costa, with a
draw shaped like a bird on the ground of "cerrado" (typical
vegetation) and the rounded and gentle lines of the architect Oscar
Niemayer, internationally recognised as one of the greatest reformers of
the twentieth century architecture.

Scene for decisive phases of the
Brazilian recent history, Brasília has altogether, politicians, students
and workers with their demonstrations, and also, the other side: the
"Vale do Amanhecer" mystical community founded by the
clairvoyant "Tia" (Aunt) Neiva. Authentic sample of the
religious syncretism of the country, where takes place at about a hundred
rituals of a wide variety of worship. Its followers say that the main
temple had the architecture and decoration guided by spirits received by
Tia Neiva. We can see in the valley the whole structure of a city with
schools, kindergartens, brick plants, trade and services, where more than
a thousand mediums live.
