The river dolphin legend says that on party days,
at midnight, it becomes a handsome and cute man. He is to blame for breaking up
marriages and charged with being the father of single mother’s children. That
way is Amapá, a mixture between dreams and realities. Macapá, its capital, is
a busy fluvial port which mixes the forest landscape with the strength of the
Negro and Indian tradition. We also have the meeting between the Amazon river
with the sea – the "Pororoca", which is a great tidal wave, besides
the northernmost point of Brazil – the Oiapoque. |
